About the Role:

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused professional to join our Vegetation Management team in a full-time and permanent role based at our Melbourne CBD office.

 

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the key liaison for vegetation-related customer enquiries, including No Go Zone (NGZ) requests, customer enquires, and network access coordination. You’ll balance regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, working closely with contractors, councils, shutdown coordinators, and internal teams.

 

Your work will directly contribute to our commitment to being customer and community minded, ensuring customers are heard, supported, and informed while vegetation work is safely and effectively delivered.

  

In this role you will:

 

  • Manage communications for No Go Zone and vegetation clearance requests
  • Assess third-party requests within Safe Approach Distances (SADs)
  • Coordinate vegetation contractors and issue quotations
  • Maintain No Go Zone records and ensure timely work delivery
  • Respond promptly to enquiries across United Energy and Victoria Power Networks
  • Log, track and monitor customer enquiries via established work flow systems
  • Liaise with contractors and field teams to resolve customer issues
  • Coordinate vegetation-related shutdowns and suppression requests
  • Validate applications and minimise customer impact through negotiation
  • Support access coordination and customer communications in the field
  • Maintain data integrity and provide trend reports
  • Proactively explore continuous improvement opportunities

 

What You’ll Bring to this role:

 

  • VCE or equivalent, or Cert in Business Administration
  • Previous experience in administrative support or a customer service role
  • Experience with customer-driven work requests and issue resolution
  • Background in stakeholder coordination within a technical or regulatory setting
  • Strong understanding of electricity networks and vegetation safety obligations
  • Familiarity with vegetation management and power network systems
  • High level of computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
