About the role:
The Technical Training Compliance Team Leader role is responsible for managing the training team who supports the internal and external delivery of technical and regulatory training across CitiPower Powercor, United Energy and Beon businesses.
Although this role is based in our Melbourne CBD office, some travel to other depots/offices across Melbourne and regional Victoria will be required.
What you’ll deliver:
- Manage the Technical Training Compliance team to deliver training programs at the required time frames to ensure compliance in a cost-efficient outcome.
- Ensure Technical Training programs are sourced and developed in line with the learning outcomes defined by legislative and business requirements.
- Influence the industry bodies that determine training standards, policies, legislation changes and inter-organisational agreements.
- Ensure audit programs are structured and in place for all providers to meet company requirements.
- Manage the reporting and governance requirements to meet business protocols. This will consist of information and submissions for approval, including plans and strategies, financial and performance reporting.
- Support the development of the strategy that identifies the current and future technical capability and training needs of each business area.
- Management of the ESI Worker system.
- Participate on National and VESI committees to represent CPPAL, UE & Beon business
- Monitor and report on the delivery of technical training programs to ensure compliance.
To succeed in the role, you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in education, human resources, engineering or other relevant discipline, or extensive equivalent operational delivery experience including in a management role.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams to deliver against operational targets that are in line with business plans and goals.
- Extensive experience in leading vocational training functions.
- Effective stakeholder management skills and an ability to communicate clearly and convincingly and influence outcomes across all management levels.
- Thorough understanding of National and State government Vocational Education and Training (VET) initiatives including the implementation, integration and adaptation of accredited Training Packages applicable to the Electricity Supply Industry.
