About the Role:

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our Project Controls team based at our Melbourne’s CBD head office on a full time and permanent basis. 

 

This role will be responsible for being the driving force behind our quality assurance and control processes from design through to delivery. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction teams, and clients, you’ll provide expert guidance on Quality Management Systems (QMS), oversee audits, and ensure all inspection and testing records (ITPs, ITRs, NCRs) meet the highest standards.

 

This role will also be seen as a key mentor and leader—coaching Project and Quality Engineers, Quality Leads, Document Controllers and Site Supervisors to build capability, consistency, and ownership of quality outcomes across every project site.

 

A major part of your role will be leveraging digital tools (such as Procore and True Context) to enhance traceability, streamline workflows, and bring real-time insights to our quality reporting.

 

What you’ll deliver:

 

  • Drive implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with all legislative, client, and project requirements
  • Support the development and rollout of project-specific Quality Management Plans (QMPs)
  • Lead site teams in delivering inspection, testing, and compliance documentation to the highest standards
  • Lead the use of digital platforms for real-time quality tracking and reporting
  • Generate dashboards and compliance insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Liaise directly with clients, owner engineers, and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance and satisfaction
  • Support bid teams and procurement with quality input and document reviews
  • Coach, mentor, and develop site-based Quality Engineers and Advisors

 

To succeed in this role you’ll have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred)
  • Project Management Qualification (desirable)
  • Lead Auditor accreditation
  • Previous experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally within renewable energy, electricity distribution, utilities or major infrastructure projects
  • Deep understanding of QA/QC processes, inspection systems, and reporting standards
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with the use and implementation of digital quality tools (Procore, True Context, etc.) and data-driven reporting.
