About the role

 

Working within the Network Services business unit, the purpose of the role is to strategically plan and manage the total works program in accordance with business needs and ensuring that the total program is optimised to meet financial and performance goals

 

We are looking for an action-oriented individual what will be able to deliver effective maintenance and optimisation of processes and systems relating to the management of workload and resourcing.

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Strategically plan the total works program for successful delivery in line with the CPPAL short term and long term financial and network objectives.
  • Optimise the total works program to drive efficient and effective field delivery that maximises resource utilisation with appropriate consideration to budgetary, geographical and any other constraints that impacts field delivery.
  • Govern the works program to ensure it is delivered in time, within budget and meets the defined objectives.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate rolling 12-month workload plan of the total works program as well as the system and processes that support workload forecasting.
  • Own and maintain network models and structures, and provide adequate training, development and change management to ensure accurate use across the business.
  • Monitor and report on progress of portfolios and works programs, and ensure timely delivery of program objectives, along with efficient resource utilisation.
  • Identify and help address risks affecting program delivery, along with opportunities for improvements and adjustments that will help optimise works delivery options.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring regular review of program delivery to ensure alignment in resource and delivery strategies.
  • Develop, advise on, and support with implementation of innovative processes and optimisation of individual portfolios.

What you’ll need from day one

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar type role.
  • Understanding of Works program and capacity planning principles and associated commercial acumen.
  • Demonstrated understanding of resource planning, project management principles or PMO methodologies.
  • Ability to utilise forecasts and reporting to analyse and identify trends to support workload and capacity planning decision making.
  • Knowledge of the electricity transmission and distribution networks (including design) or previous experience within Distribution and/or Transmission networks.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP.
  • Advanced Diploma qualification in ESI Power Systems or a relevant technical trade or project management discipline (desirable).
