About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced SAP HR and Payroll Systems professional to join our Corporate Technology team in a full time and permanent role based at our Melbourne CBD head office.
In the SAP People Systems Lead, you will be responsible for the governance, enhancement, and performance of our People Management technology landscape. You’ll proactively lead improvements across platforms, working closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and vendor partners to deliver innovative solutions that streamline processes, elevate employee experience, and enable business outcomes.
You will be the key liaison between People & Culture, Technology, and managed service providers, ensuring the systems remain reliable, compliant, and adaptable. This is a highly collaborative, visible, and hands-on leadership role.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a dedicated team player with exceptional communication skills, experienced in business requirements analysis, business process design, system ‘gap analysis’, functional solution design, system configuration, customisations, and extension design and any people related system capabilities and related activities.
What you’ll deliver:
- Maintain a deep knowledge of the People Management systems.
- Manage changes requested by the business including impact assessment.
- Lead the six monthly SuccessFactors (SF) review to agree opt in and understand universal changes being applied for improved system performance as well as annual statutory SAP HR support packs
- Work with the Functional, Technical, Architecture, Payroll and HR teams and Software Vendor to develop solutions.
- Ensure the day-to-day service provision of the supplier is consistent with the deliverables described within the agreement.
- Leverage relationships between strategic vendors and internal resources, including IT stakeholders, to meet business KPIs and improve service.
- Identify areas of improvement in both technology, people and process to uplift the incident response and management capability.
- Provide domain expertise for delivery of SAP and SuccessFactors projects, including defining and assessing detail associated with complex changes.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- SAP Payroll or SuccessFactors certification (desirable).
- Experience in managing and leading technical teams, including performance management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Consulting, functional and technical advisory experience in HCM related systems.
- Knowledgeable about integration with other HR processes and 3rd party applications.
- Ability to serve as a liaison to assigned SAP & SuccessFactors account reps in communicating and escalating technical requests and tickets.
- Significant experience in the IT industry, with a focus on SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors and HCM related technologies including module configuration.
- Experience in supplier management.
- Experience in driving innovation and thought leadership.
- Experience with functional design/process flows.
- Experience with solution design.
- Experience with testing (SIT/UAT), training, knowledge transfer and deployment.
