About the role: 

 

The Risk and Resilience Specialist assists in managing CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy’s risk and resilience exposures through enterprise risk management, business continuity planning, crisis and emergency management planning, as well as providing advice and support to the business on any other risk management and resilience-related matters.

 

What you’ll deliver:

 

•    Drive improvements in risk identification and management at all levels within the business (e.g., six-monthly risk profiling with each business unit).
•    Analyse risk data to identify control effectiveness, trends and emerging risks.
•    Lead and implement comprehensive business continuity planning and testing programs (including desktop and real-time simulations) to ensure that business continuity and recovery strategies meet business requirements.
•    Facilitate and lead training programs specifically designed for Business Continuity Coordinators to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.
•    Provide guidance and support to the business on all Business Continuity, as well as Crisis & Emergency Management matters.

To succeed in the role, you’ll have: 

 

•    Extensive work experience with business continuity, risk management, or a related field. 
•    Proven experience in leading and managing business continuity and crisis management initiatives.
•    Extensive experience in the implementation and application of business continuity/preparedness programs, including developing, testing, and maintaining business continuity plans.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. 
•    Strong communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
•    Knowledge of ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management) and/or ISO 31000 (Risk Management) standards is highly desirable. 
•    Certified training in risk management, business continuity and/or operational resilience is highly desirable.
