About the role
The Manager Audit Services plays an important role in assisting the company to improve the internal control environment and business efficiency.
This is a very dynamic and hands-on role requiring extensive business and senior stakeholder engagement, critical/analytical thinking and attention to detail to conduct and deliver internal audit assurance and advisory projects.
You will be part of a highly skilled team reporting the Head of Audit Services, and use your strong stakeholder engagement, communication (written and verbal), and project management skills (from planning to reporting) to succeed and make this role your own.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in planning and executing internal audits (operational, financial, IT, project governance, fraud investigation, risk and controls and compliance).
- Proactively engage management, external auditors and co-sourced service providers to optimise assurance and audit efforts.
- Deliver internal audits on time and budget.
- Provide expertise on internal controls and business process improvements.
- Proactively liaise with management to enhance business knowledge, ensure that key risks are identified and understand key stakeholder perspectives when formulating pragmatic recommendations.
- Maintain knowledge, skills and disciplines to carry out audit responsibilities and maintain professional accreditation(s).
- Provide coaching and leadership for other members of the audit team.
- Develop self by seeking challenging developmental opportunities, willingly accepting new responsibilities, and displaying confidence in own knowledge, skills and ability.
- Demonstrate accountability by taking responsibility for actions, outcomes and deliverables, displaying commitment to work, and handling issues with minimal guidance.

What you’ll need from day one
- Tertiary qualification in Business/Commerce, as well as Auditing Qualifications (CA or CPA).
- Strong internal audit technical experience (operational, financial, IT, project governance, fraud investigation, risk and controls, and compliance).
- Strong experience in both leading and executing internal audits.
- Strong attention to detail and business acumen.
- Experience in data analysis (e.g. Tableau, ACL, advanced Excel).
- Ability to think strategically, taking a whole of business approach to decision making, analysis and problem solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with management and employees.
- Experience in the electricity industry or similar is desirable but not essential.
