About the role:

 

We have a 12-month fixed-term opportunity available for a dynamic HSE professional to join Beon as a Field HSE Advisor. As the front-line field advisor, this role is instrumental in supporting our field operations, ensuring safe and sustainable delivery of our construction works, and helping embed a best practice HSE culture.

 

This role is responsible for coordination and delivery of HSE systems, along with leadership and coaching of project personnel to ensure all HSE systems are executed to a high quality, and that all relevant standards are met. This is achieved through strong and sustainable relationships with stakeholders, and helping drive development and improvement within the team.

 

As the key contact point for all HSE matters to a wide range of stakeholders, we are looking for someone with highly developed communication and problem-solving skills, along with confidence and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

 

 

What you’ll deliver:

 

  • Coordinate, develop, implement and maintain project-specific HSE systems to effectively and efficiently support the safe delivery of field works
  • Communicate HSE information and decisions clearly and confidently to a variety of stakeholders and positively influence and educate on-site personnel on HSE practices and processes
  • Lead and co-ordinate project audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Analyse HSE performance and trends in order to identify areas for improvement in effectiveness and efficiency
  • Develop and implement HSE improvements on operational sites, help drive the culture of continuous improvement
  • Participate in site-based HSE Committees

 

 

To succeed in the role you’ll have:

 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience on construction projects in site-based roles
  • Minimum Cert IV (Health and Safety and/or Environmental). Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable.
  • Formal investigation training (ICAM is preferred)
  • Experience in interpretation and application of Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, standards and codes
  • Detailed knowledge of contemporary construction practices, particularly the practical application of HSE systems in these environments
