About the Role:


We currently have a great 12 month fixed term contract for a proactive and capable project administrator to take on a Customer Request Officer role. In this role, you will engage with customers to provide advice, support project applications and ensure our regulatory requirements (e.g. offer clock) are met, and high levels of customer satisfaction are achieved and initial assessment of project applications


Reporting to the Customer Requests Urban Lead, you will be responsible for supporting customer augmentation requests through to acceptance and coordination of customer initiated minor projects (e.g.: Pole to Pit, Minor Public Lighting) using our defined systems and processes.


Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Respond to customer enquiries promptly, accurately and effectively in accordance with processes and regulatory compliance that deliver high levels of service
  • Provide advice to customers, their representatives, & statutory authorities on AER guidelines, CIAW policies and processes, project timelines and status updates, SIR compliance requirements, pricing, access to documentation and customer obligations.
  • Ensure all activities associated with Customer Requests including, but not limited to, document creation, pre-offer tasks (e.g. initial assessment)  and coordination of minor projects, occur in a timely manner
  • Produce offers where required, in accordance with AER guidelines and Network policies and procedures
  • Estimate project costs and customer contributions using  SPOT and PECAT models,  obtain project Approval for offers for all SPOT jobs and undertake accurate processing of applications
  • Determine contract payment terms and conditions, create, review, prepare  invoices according to business processes and credit procedures
  • Review, code and certify contractor invoices and prepare for approvals for minor works
  • Register plans of subdivision referred by local Councils for conditions, certification & / or compliance, engage appropriate stakeholders and provide administrative support to the process


Required skills and experience: 


  • VCE or equivalent or relevant  electrical industry experience and/or demonstrated work experience in a similar type role
  • An ability to want to learn about the electricity distribution industry, as well as the relevant policies, principles, and modelling principles associated with the role
