About the Role:

 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our engaged and collaborative team as a Contract Specialist. A great time to join our team as we continue to grow.

 

In this role you will be responsible for effectively managing the contract terms with our suppliers to support the successful delivery of the Works Program. This will involve a key focus on safety, optimising commercial value and improving efficiency.  


Using your eye for details, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, this role will manage a diverse contract portfolio, driving improved business operations and favourable commercial outcomes.

 

What you’ll deliver: 

 

  • Implement the framework and procedures to ensure compliance with annual supplier and business goals and monitor progress to established contract and KPIs.
  • Lead operational and governance forums to manage engagement, compliance, and performance improvements.
  • Identify, monitor, and manage risks & issues, ensuring mitigation plans are implemented and delivered.
  • Set, communicate, and manage the contract financial, operational and quality requirements, KPI’s and HSE measures to ensure service provider delivery and performance is visible and managed.
  • Lead, monitor and maintain commercial & performance reporting and periodical supplier performance reviews to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and delivery expectations
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with aligned service providers, key contract and commercial personnel to ensure the business is appropriately informedand to achieve effective outcomes from all aligned contract service providers.
  • Model safety behaviours across internal and external stakeholders and engage with relevant HSE functions to ensure appropriate safety systems are in place and managed, contributing to a collaborative team environment

 

To succeed in this role you’ll have:

 

  • Technical / Tertiary Qualifications in a related discipline, as well as extensive commercial contract and / or operational management experience
  • Strong safety leadership, negotiation skills and relationship management skills
  • Detailed working knowledge of the operational aspects of electricity distribution networks.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder engagement to deliver optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills to support development of contract performance strategies.
  • Strong written skills capable of producing operation and financial performance reports and papers.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and project management principles.
