About the Role:

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and financially minded business reporting professional to join our Business Performance Reporting team in a full time and permanent role based at our Melbourne CBD head office.

 

In this role, you will be a key contributor to the business reporting function, delivering accurate, insightful, and timely financial and operational reporting. You will partner with senior stakeholders to provide meaningful analysis that supports strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, and business performance optimisation.

 

This role is well suited to a candidate pursuing or intending to pursue CA/CPA qualifications, who demonstrates strong curiosity and a genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver month-end reporting including journals, models, and executive reporting packs
  • Prepare monthly business reports with clear insights for Executive, Board, and Management
  • Analyse and review Business Unit performance, investigating and explaining variances
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes
  • Develop and report on financial KPIs across the business
  • Produce regulatory reporting, including RIO submissions and performance dashboards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and auditors to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting

To succeed in this role you will have: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong capability in PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and reporting tools - desirable
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and manipulate large and complex datasets in varying formats
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail with proven experience in business reporting or management accounting
