About the Role:

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a business reporting professional to join our Commercial Finance team as a Business Performance Reporting Analyst in a full-time and permanent role based at our Melbourne CBD office.

 

In this role you will contribute to the preparation and coordination of monthly financial reporting, performance forecasting, and regulatory submissions. The role will also provide insightful analysis that supports strategic decision-making, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives value across the business.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Prepare monthly business reports for the Executive, Board, and Management teams, including insightful analysis to support decision-making
  • Perform month-end close tasks including journal entries and reporting model preparation
  • Review business unit results, investigate variances, and ensure accurate intercompany reporting
  • Coordinate and assist in preparing Budgets, Forecasts, and 10-Year Plans for the Corporate (CEO) Business Unit.
  • Drive the preparation of financial KPIs at both Business Unit and Group levels.
  • Deliver monthly KPI reporting to Executives and Management.
  • Prepare annual Regulatory Information Orders (RIO) in line with Australian Energy Regulator (AER) requirements
  • Maintain regulatory expenditure models and dashboards to support performance optimisation.

 

What You’ll Bring to this role:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business / accounting preferred
  • CPA/CA qualifications or working towards required
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and cloud-based reporting tools
  • Previous experience in Management Accounting or Business Reporting
  • Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
