About the Role:

We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Maintenance Services Officer join our growing Maintenance team in a full-time permanent capacity based at our Glen Waverley Depot.

 

The Maintenance Services Officer is responsible for optimising maintenance activities arising from asset inspection programs and miscellaneous maintenance reports. The role ensures maintenance notifications are correctly reviewed, scoped, prioritised and issued in alignment with asset management policies, electricity network guidelines, safety requirements and budget constraints.

 

In this role you will deliver:

  • Review, validate and optimise maintenance notifications from cyclic inspections and other reporting sources
  • Determine appropriate maintenance works in line with asset management policy, electricity network guidelines, asset condition and risk
  • Scope, approve and issue maintenance works, including preventative and business‑initiated programs
  • Identify sites requiring specialist design and resolve non‑specialist technical design issues
  • Prepare material lists, cost estimates and target completion dates where required
  • Align maintenance activities with budgets, opportunistic works and associated programs
  • Audit maintenance processes to ensure quality, compliance, data integrity and effective stakeholder engagement

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Diploma of ESI – Power Systems (or equivalent)
  • Detailed knowledge of electricity distribution networks, including basic design, construction and operation of line assets
  • Understanding of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and asset condition assessment techniques
  • Sound knowledge of maintenance policies and procedures, including asset inspection policies and processes
  • Awareness of safety, regulatory and environmental requirements applicable to electricity networks
  • Working knowledge of SAP and other project, program management, estimating or asset management systems
  • Prior experience as a technical officer, design officer, line worker, substation technician or asset inspector is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience working with substation assets, underground cable assets and overhead distribution assets.
