About the role:
This role is responsible for ensuring optimal management of vehicles, plant and equipment, maintenance and servicing programs.
You’ll also support the Business Units to achieve an optimized heavy and light fleet operating model, with effective and efficient utilization of all fleet and related services.
The role will be based at our Brooklyn depot but we are open to applications from candidates from other locations.
What you’ll deliver:
- Drive and optimise fleet planning, develop and implement fleet management strategies.
- Coordinate vehicles, plant and equipment to be maintained and serviced in accordance with approved maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate field / depot audits on vehicles, plant, equipment and related services to ensure compliance with business and legislative HSE requirements.
- Undertake all necessary administration in respect to onboarding and offboarding vehicles.
- All tasks related to management of vehicles and equipment such as issue/replacement of fuel cards, repairs and maintenance and all general queries.
- Project management or participation in all allocated projects related or associated to fleet and implementation of outcomes.
- Manage relationships with Managers and internal customers and staff/users to understand their needs and resolve issues as well as pursue opportunities for improvement – and where possible implement process changes.
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify process improvements which deliver efficiency, quality, or commercial benefits.
To succeed in the role, you’ll have:
- A mechanic qualification, or extensive background in Motor Vehicle (Light and/or Heavy) repair and maintenance/Engineering/Fleet Management.
- Strong work experience in Motor Vehicle (Light and/or Heavy) repair and maintenance/Engineering/Fleet Management within a Utility Services, global or major corporate organisation.
- Financial and commercial acumen.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
- Have well developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate with managers and team members at all levels across different organizations
- SAP skills (desirable)
