About the Role:

 

As an important member of the project team, the Materials Coordinator has the primary responsibility of managing the materials and equipment required for the successful delivery of Powercor distribution projects.

 

This role can be based at Brooklyn, Ballarat or Bendigo

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Sourcing of non-catalogued and technical materials and equipment including quote review where process requires. Creation of purchase requisitions where required.
  • Liaise with Designers, Project Managers, Procurement, Logistics, Overhead, Underground and EP&T in respect of materials requirements including technical specifications, procurement and storage.
  • Keep master list of all materials ordered for projects (including long lead time materials) and provide summary information on project materials status (ordered, due, delivered).
  • Manage storage of equipment and materials from receipt to delivery to project site in job lots.
  • Investigate and expedite late delivery or order completeness queries.
  • Ensure correct materials and plant are entered into SAP.

 

Required skills and experience: 

 

  • Relevant electrical systems certification highly desirable or significant experience in a similar technical sourcing role.
  • Advanced in Excel and SAP.
  • Experience in assessing exact detailed material requirements for construction projects.
  • Knowledge of electricity distribution construction.
  • Experience in ordering materials in SAP and supply chain experience.
  • Knowledge of assets, design and work practices associated with Network Assets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant policies and procedures.
