About the role:
As an important member of the project team, the materials coordinator primary role is to provide input to Project Managers regarding initial task list build up. Order materials for project delivery and check materials as ordered are delivered and ready for the project. Communicate problems and variations and maintain records. Manage internal allocation of materials per project to ensure project completion.
Note - Incumbents may be required to undertake availability duties.
What you’ll deliver:
• Final job lots complete with contents `fit for purpose' to deliver the projects.
• Back-order monitoring and logistics prompt for materials delivery.
• Ensure appropriate materials and plant are SAP entered and ordered.
• Ensure project team can concentrate on their part of the project in confidence that the correct materials will be ordered and available at the time of construction.
To succeed in the role, you’ll have:
• Experience in assessing exact detailed material requirements for construction projects is essential.
• Skills in Excel and SAP.
• Experience in ordering materials in SAP would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of assets, design and work practices associated with Network Asset Maintenance.
