Supply Chain Field Officer

Ballarat, VIC, AU, 3355

About us

At CitiPower and Powercor, we’re proud to deliver electricity to 1.3 million Victorian customers every day through our network of poles and wires. But more than that, we’re here to power communities, support local businesses and keep critical services running smoothly, we’re essential to them all – and none of this happens without our people. As Victorians electrify everything from homes to transport, we’re focused on ensuring our networks are ready to meet that demand. If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.

About the role

We're looking for a switched-on Supply Chain Field Officer to work & help run our Field Distribution Centres and keep materials moving to our field teams, service agents and projects. It's a genuinely varied role that mixes hands-on yard and warehouse work with detailed SAP processing — you'll spend your day across the floor, the forklift and the computer, and you'll own your patch from end to end.

This is a hands-on, do-it-yourself role — there's no team to manage, so it suits someone who takes pride in doing the work themselves rather than supervising others. You'll join a tight, high-performing team that trusts its people to manage their own day, so you'll have genuine autonomy from the outset.

This position is covered by the Powercor & CitiPower & ASU, PA UWU Enterprise Agreement. The salary range for this role is Pay Point 10 ($102,029) – Pay Point 14 ($117,369) + 13% of super + allowances.

Key responsibilities

  • Run day-to-day operations at our Field Distribution Centres — receipting, storing, issuing and dispatching materials safely and accurately.
  • Process transactions, keep records and run reports in SAP, and interrogate the data to trace and resolve issues.
  • Carry out stock checks, investigate discrepancies and process adjustments and write-offs.
  • Keep inventory at the right levels — including emergency stock and critical spares — so our crews and projects never get held up.
  • Assist contractors and our field crews with loading and unloading, and arrange deliveries to and from our distribution centres and service-agent locations.
  • Maintain safe, well-organised storage areas and work in line with OH&S and environmental requirements.

What you’ll need from day one

  • A safety-first mindset and an eye for accuracy.
  • A hands-on, practical background — trades, operations, logistics, stores/warehousing or similar — and, importantly, a genuine enjoyment of hands-on work.
  • Confidence with computers and the appetite to master SAP and Excel — you don't need prior SAP experience, but you do need to be comfortable learning and using systems (we'll train you).
  • A current forklift licence (desirable)
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to manage your own day with minimal supervision — you take ownership and follow through.

This role suits you if…

  • you like being hands-on and would rather do the work than supervise it;
  • you're happy switching between the yard, the forklift and the computer through the day;
  • you're organised, reliable, and take pride in getting the details right; and
  • you're keen to learn new systems and grow into the role.

Come from a trade, operations, logistics or similar hands-on background? We'd genuinely encourage you to apply. We care far more about your practical skills, work ethic and willingness to learn our systems than about a matching job title — and we'll provide SAP training to get you up to speed.
