About the role:
The role requires the management and leadership of teams to deliver the lines maintenance program through management methodology, financial management, control and governance, development and implementation of initiatives, project/program reporting and forecasting, quality control to ensure achievement and compliance with our policies and procedures.
This role requires regular travel across Ballarat, Warrnambool, Maryborough, Colac and Horsham, and it can be based in any of these depots. It comes with a part-private use vehicle.
What you’ll deliver:
- Influence teams from across the business to ensure that the program is delivered to a high level of quality and in a timely and efficient manner.
- Make program decisions, participate in decision making with consideration for broader business agenda and objectives.
- Keep abreast of industry changes and create strategies to ensure the relevance of the business in a dynamically changing market.
- Communicate and impart strategies and complex ideas to all levels (from board to team member).
- Manage the Inspection based overhead lines maintenance program and to optimise lifespan, performance, reliability and safety.
- Implement and continuously improve maintenance program delivery in collaboration with Electricity Networks and the Field Delivery Team.
- Provide program and technical support to the field-based workforce in carrying out the maintenance activities.
- Successfully develop and embed fit for purpose capabilities, processes or process improvements that meet the agility needed for the business to be competitive.
To succeed in the role, you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Project Management, Construction or Management discipline.
- Extensive experience in the power industry in the areas of project management, construction and/or operations.
- Previous experience leading a large and diverse technical workforce.
- Detailed understanding of overhead line asset maintenance processes and systems including overhead line methodologies/techniques.
- Detailed knowledge of all aspects associated with project management & business management.
