About the role

 

Due to exciting growth in our business, we are excited to announce that we are seeking an experienced, professional and team player to join our team as a Meter Technician based at our Ballarat depot.

 

As a Meter Technician, you will carry out all work relating to meter installation, testing and maintenance services, investigating and rectifying metering and communication faults, to both internal and external customers installations.

 

Using your ‘can-do’ attitude, approachable and personable disposition, you will strive to ensure that we meet company’s customer service objectives of providing a safe, reliable, timely and cost-effective supply of electricity and associated services.

 

This position is covered by the Powercor & CitiPower & CEPU Enterprise Agreement. The salary range for this role is Pay Point 12 ($106,856.66) – Pay Point 15 ($118,681.84) + 13% of super + allowances.

What you’ll need from day one

 

  • Qualification or a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician; Metering Trade; or a recognised equivalent qualification
  • Statement of Attainment for Competency Standard Units (compulsory)
  • Current Refresher Training records (compulsory)
  • Construction Induction Card (compulsory)
  • Car license (compulsory)

 

Employment is subject to the candidate successfully completing the following checks:

 

  • Qualification check
  • Pre-employment medical examination (which includes a hearing test, colour blindness and physical examination)
  • Relevant drug and alcohol testing
  • Driving history check
  • Police check
  • Reference check
  • Work rights check
